AWS DevOps Engineer
About The Role:
The Myi Team is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to be responsible for our AWS Cloud Infrastructure. The role is also responsible for interpreting and securely implementing the business and technical requirements from the Myi product team. The DevOps engineer will help shape the architecture and development of our innovative B2B Secure Media Platform. You will have the opportunity to develop industry leading features and functionality for our existing web/iOS/Android platform. Work alongside motivated entrepreneurs to solve some of industry’s most challenging problems and deliver a game-changing customer experience.
What You’ll Do:
• Collaborate with the Myi executive team to define the product evolution.
• Maintain, mature, and standardize the CI/CD process for code and infrastructure
• Automate and maintain supporting systems in all phases of the SDLC.
• Support the following AWS services currently in use: EC2, EKS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Kinesis, Redshift, Route53, S3, etc.
• Take requirements from cross-functional teams and deploy network/computer architecture as needed to meet the platform needs.
• Support customers with back-end technical support needs.
• Optimize the overall efficiency of the platform architecture.
• Ability to work off-hours in response to production issues or code deployments.
• Manage the day-to-day responsibilities for back-end and database platform development.
• Develop, Test, and Implement platform features.
• Manage Dev/QA/Product platform environments.
• Responsible for maintaining the integrity of a complex web/iOS/Android codebase.
• Optimize overall back-end architecture of the platform.
What You’ll Need:
• Excellent leadership skills and a desire to work hard and lead the development team.
• Demonstrable back-end development experience in AWS and database management. (AWS Professional Certification Required).
• Experience with AWS security and infrastructure best practices.
• Experience with container technologies: Docker.
• Experience with networking concepts, terminology, and configuration.
• Demonstrable experience with programming languages such as Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, HTML, etc.
• Integration experience with 3rd party applications & API’s.

Instead of toggling a recording feature on and off, with Myi’s Platform, the Call Initiator can decide at the end of the call if they want it archived or not. If archived, the video call becomes part of the collaboration media in the packet.

SECURITY:
The availability, confidentiality, and integrity of your data is our top priority. We use multiple safeguards to protect this information, and are constantly monitoring and improving our products and services.
DATA CENTER:
The MYI platform is hosted on the Amazon Web Services (AWS), an industry leader in providing highly scalable, secure cloud computing platform. Here are some resources from AWS with additional context.
PHYSICAL SECURITY:
AWS has state-of-the-art data centers where physical access is strictly controlled by professional security staff using a combination of video surveillance, intrusion detection systems, multiple sets of two-factor authentication and other electronic means. Only authorized personnel with legitimate business needs are granted access to the data centers. All physical access to data centers by AWS employees is logged and audited routinely and all visitors require ID and are escorted by authorized staff. AWS maintains and continues to enhance their SOC reports, certifications, including SOC, PCI, ISO, and others. Additional details are maintained in the “AWS Compliance” section of their website.
ENVIRONMENTAL SECURITY:
AWS data centers have automatic fire detection and suppression systems. The have fully redundant electrical power systems that are maintainable without impact to operations 24x7 and have UPS and back-up generators in case of electrical failure for critical and essential loads. Climate and temperature are precisely controlled by personnel and systems to ensure optimal performance of servers and systems. All systems and equipment are monitored and receive preventative maintenance to maintain operability of equipment.
BUSINESS CONTINUITY MANAGEMENT:
AWS infrastructure has a high level of availability and provides customer the features to deploy a resilient IT architecture. AWS has designed its systems to tolerate system or hardware failures with minimal customer impact. Data center Business Continuity Management at AWS is under the direction of the Amazon Infrastructure Group. Core applications are deployed in an N+1 configuration, so that in the event of a data center failure, there is sufficient capacity to enable traffic to be load balanced to the remaining sites. MYI deploys into multiple Availability Zones to ensure that the MYI platform can continue to function in the loss of an Amazon data center.
SECURE TRANSMISSION AND SESSIONS:
The MYI platform is accessed through secure socket layer/transport layer security (SSL/TLS), using strong encryption and authentication (TLSS 1.2 with SHA256 certificate) to ensure that your users have a secure connection from their browsers to our services. Sessions are terminated after 30 minutes of inactivity, or implicitly by a user sign out event.
ACCESS CONTROLS:
User IDs and passwords are both set by the user. One-time passwords are never used. Password strength is required to be greater than 10 characters, 1 upper-case, and 1 special character. Within the application, group and role based access rights can be assigned by the company admin. Servers do not use passwords and require 2048 bit RSA keys to provide direct access to backend systems. All keys are unique to MYI administrators and are not shared. Network firewalls prevent unauthorized traffic from reaching data center servers.
BACKUPS:
All data is backed up using weekly images. Master/slave replication additionally ensures that database backups are hot-swappable. Backups are replications are not transported off site, but are stored in different AWS data centers from the MYI application to ensure that they can be recovered in case of loss of the primary data center.
CODE TESTING AND ASSESSMENTS:
MYI tests all code for security vulnerabilities before release, and regularly scans our network and systems for vulnerabilities.
SECURITY MONITORING:
To identify and manage threats, our team monitors notifications from various sources and alerts from internal systems.
